product director
I have always lived a modern lifestyle, in my parents’ home and now in my own. I love home, architecture, design and travel.
Combine that with the fact that I work with creative, passionate and fun people and you have the formula for the perfect job.

ali
senior planner, sales forecasts and inventory
Shopping is my #1 favorite past-time, and I love mixing modern with antiques, so I am definitely a CB2 customer. I also love to travel but since it isn’t part of my job, I do as much as I can with my vacation time—like a European honeymoon in June!—and live vicariously through the buyers.
I’ve been with CB2 since we opened our second store and launched the e-commerce site about 5 years ago, and I love the entrepreneurial spirit of it! The team dynamic is such a fun, passionate group of people, we are all very humbled and proud to be part of CB2’s evolution—and we definitely have fun in the process!

raymond
buyer for accessories including wall art, home and office accessories, pillows, throws and rugs
Travelling—especially to places like Vietnam, Hong Kong, New York and India—gets my creative juices flowing and gives me lots of energy. So does design and working with designers on new ideas. I doubt I could do one without the other.
I’ve been with CB2 from the beginning—as manager of the first store which opened January 14, 2000—and I love working with the amazingly creative team that’s growing CB2 into a recognized brand.

judy
buyer for occasional tables, media storage, home office, outdoor furniture, tabletop and seasonal accessories
Overall, I love CB2 because not only is it my personal aesthetic, it’s entrepreneurial. It allows me to be creative and a business manager… feeds my right and left brain!! I also love the variety of products I work on.
Most importantly, I enjoy working with a passionate, creative, fun, hard working team—especially since everyone is part of the process and the evolution of the brand. It makes life at CB2 very energizing.

sara
buyer for bed and bath furniture and accessories
I love discovering a great band, a cool watch or a funky pair of shoes. At work I’m able to use my love of design and apply it to beautiful things we put in our homes. And traveling to exotic or faraway places for my job is an opportunity I wouldn’t have otherwise.
I love that we are managing a business and we get to be creative and collaborate with designers. So I have the job I’ve always wanted–working for a company that is fun, hip, and aesthetically and socially conscious.

ryan
buyer, lighting and upholstery and dining furniture
I have been with CB2 for 7 years. I love my job because I love design and the home.
I get paid to travel around the world, see trends, meet new people, and develop product that I think people can afford and enjoy in a modern lifestyle. There is no reason not to love that job.

sandra
editor and product development manager
Finding a storage solution for 300 pairs of shoes at home is my favorite challenge. At work I support the visions of the buyers by collaborating to solve design and manufacturing challenges, reporting trends and meeting new designers.
As blog editor, I’m excited for the opportunity to share other passions such as writing, travel, photography and graphic design.

jana
graphic designer
I have been drawing for as long as I can remember and simply living in the city of Chicago is inspiration for sketching. Watching people walking the streets, riding bikes, or enjoying the nightlife–each one’s a different character.
I don’t know what I’d do if I worked anywhere else…the fun-loving, positive atmosphere here keeps me energized and loving my job every day.

chris
store designer, chicago
I’ve always had a passion for design. When I was very young I would rearrange all the furniture, art and accessories in my parents’ home whenever they’d leave for an evening out. I couldn’t wait to see their reaction when they came home. Thankfully they had a sense of humor about it and they allowed me my fun. Now I’m having the same kind of fun at CB2 anticipating customers’ reactions!

vance
store designer, soho
Having worked as a salesperson for 14 years, I was impressed with the fast paced world of store merchandising… the workout, being creative, and keeping busy. Since CB2 opened in SoHo in 2007, I’ve enjoyed problem solving when it comes to display design, and finding ways to push a setup or design idea further.

april
senior merchandising manager, catalog
Planning the catalog spreads, scouting locations, being on photo shoots–every facet of my personality gets to express itself and it’s like re-decorating every room, every season. I’d love to do that at home but this is much more affordable!
I’m very grateful to have worked with the CB2 team from the very first issue. It’s been an incredible journey evolving the look over time.

todd
store designer, los angeles
As a store designer, I love the inspiration Los Angeles has to offer–the people, the everyday beauty–not to mention its history of mid-century design.
From the flower and garment districts to the Neutra colony in Silverlake, I find my inspiration in the color, texture and style unique to southern California.

curtis
art director, CB2 catalog
I moved to Chicago 5 years ago and took the smallest apartment I could find because I didn’t trust myself with a larger space. I love modern furniture both vintage and new and am tempted every day I walk into our office.
The passion everyone on the CB2 team has for the brand is infectious and inspires me every day.

cristina
assistant manager, los angeles
I started in the corporate offices where I kept hearing that everything really happens in the stores–so I transferred to San Francisco then LA.
I value being involved with a concept that is both socially relevant and economically obtainable. I’m inspired by the fun, creative and talented people I get to work with everyday.
