Set your alarm clocks so you don’t miss it—the AIDS Run/Walk Chicago is this Saturday, October 2nd. All 500 volunteer positions have been filled but registration is open until 5pm Wednesday, September 29th to run or walk as a participant.
Since 2001, the AIDS Run and Walk Chicago, sponsored by the AIDS Foundation of Chicago, has contributed more than $3 million to fight HIV/AIDS. With donations raised through this annual event, they can continue fighting by supporting more than 150 invaluable HIV/AIDS service organizations in the Chicagoland area.
On Saturday morning, the 10k run and 5 or 10k walk starts in Grant Park and continues along Chicago’s scenic lakefront—the perfect opportunity to enjoy the views, get some exercise and join the fight against HIV/AIDS now in its 28th year.
