how did we get here: the tie-1-on sectional

What’s the story behind the tie-1-on sectional?

We started here, last year, in Milan…

got comfy thinking about it here…

then talked about it over a few of these…so we added a few of these…hence, the name.

What about other colors? something a little more neutral? These are too bright for my environ.. but concept looks perfect for an indoor/outdoor sunroom area..

The latest fashion in emergency flotation devices ... no thanks.

The tie-it-together idea is nice but boy, are they ugly. Was any thought put into the shape? They look industrial, fat, squat and unsightly. Shame.

I'm sure that these are comfortable, but they don't look comfortable for sitting in the sun - you don't want anything that you sink into when you are hot and sweaty. Especially not polyester that won't absorb or wick sweat. The tie-one-on part should have been a different and washable cover in a coordinating or contrasting terry or something else breathable. The bright red is too reminiscent of a life jacket with the black ties.
