Sponsored by WWF, the World Wildlife Fund asks anyone—individuals, businesses, governments—to turn off all non-essential electric lighting for one hour, in collective support, as a show of concern for our environment.

Last year, 135 countries participated—iconic buildings and historic landmarks, people from all walks of life, from all corners of the globe.
