georgetown cupcake

Inspired by their grandmother—and following their passion—sisters Katherine and Sophie founded Georgetown Cupcake in 2008, in Georgetown.

Recent expansion plans include locations in Bethesda, Boston and Soho—which is the first outside the DC metro area.

Located near CB2 Soho on Mercer Street, all goods are baked on site daily—using stellar ingredients like Madagascar Bourbon vanilla and Valhrona Cocoa powder.

Stars of the TLC series DC Cupcakes, watch for their new book Sweet Celebrations which is scheduled for release in October.

Thanks to cory and ben at CB2 soho—who love their cupcakes!—for this submission and photos.

opening day: georgetown

On Saturday, April 30th, the newest CB2 store opened in Washington, DC—Georgetown to be exact.

We’re overwhelmed and grateful for the warm welcome—especially by our new four-legged friends. We love our pets, and the many we’ve featured in our catalogs over the years, so all were invited to stay, play, sit…

Thank You to everyone who came by to say hello, join the pillow fights, jump on the bed, and of course wag a tail—especially since a percentage of your purchases benefited the Capital Area Food Bank.

announcing: georgetown

photo by: Norman B. Leventhal Map Center at the BPL Spring is in the air and April is just weeks away from the opening of CB2 Georgetown.

Named after King George II in 1751, and originally a DC industrial port on the Potomac, Georgetown evolved into one of the nation’s most iconic neighborhoods.

Its charm lies in its brick row houses and early Federalist architecture, cobblestone streets, and the prestigious Georgetown University campus—most of which are now protected since the district was listed on the National Register of Historic Landmarks.

We’re counting the days and if you are too, follow us on facebook and twitter for the most current information.
