dali: the late work exhibit

What: Pride at the High Party
When: Thursday, October 7, 8:30-11:00 pm
Where
: The High Museum, Atlanta GA
Admission: $15 general and $5 member—each includes one drink ticket
Featuring: DJay McCracken

As we prep for Pride weekend in Hotlanta, join us to experience the Dali: The Late Work exhibit this Thursday evening at the High Museum. The exhibit will be open thru January 9th but we’ll be starting the weekend off right by sipping the cocktail du nuit, Dali-tini’s of course, and kicking back in lounge areas featuring CB2 furniture.

Warhol, Monroe, and Alice Cooper all attested to Dali’s art and personality being larger then life which catapulted him to celebrity status. Attire is as you are—or as your favorite celebrity to enter a celebrity look-alike contest—and don’t miss the surreal photo booth!

CB2 Lincoln ParkWhether you’re staking a claim for a front row seat or in the lineup to show support, break out the SPF 30 for nationwide Pride Parades this Sunday, June 27th!

Chicago’s theme for 2010—suggested by InterPride, the international Pride organization—is “One Heart, One World, One Pride” while San Francisco’s theme is “Forty and Fabulous!” marking the 40th anniversary of their parade.

New York’s theme is closer to home: “Paint the Town Ruby—Stonewall 40”. This being the 40th Anniversary of the Stonewall Riots and rubies being the gemstone of a fortieth anniversary— not to mention the signature shoes of Judy Garland who passed soon after the riots—it’s a match made in Pride heaven.

Since 2000, June’s been declared Pride Month, so celebrate diversity and March On!
