recipe: bloody mary shrimp

Shrimp cocktail meets everyone’s favorite Sunday-morning cocktail for a vodka-infused shrimp appetizer.

Shrimp:
1 pound medium shrimp in shell, peeled, deveined, pre-cooked
1-1/2 cups thinly sliced celery (3 to 4 ribs)
1 cup thinly sliced scallions (about 6)

Sauce:
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup vodka
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
2 tbsp/to taste un-drained bottled horseradish
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp hot sauce

If frozen, thaw shrimp per package instructions
Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl
Spoon hors d’oeuvres sized portions into porcelain curve spoons (shown above)
Garnish with diced avocado (optional)

Makes about: 50 hors d’oeuvres
Takes about: 35-60min

Defrost pre-cooked colossal size shrimp from Trader Joe’s and serve on a bed of sliced lemons—their cocktail sauce is delicious too.

recipe: easy goat cheese dip

Place goat cheese in a small baking dish:
pour on your favorite marinara
heat in oven or microwave until hot.

Voila!—dip for melba toast.

Saucey, salty, amore.

recipe: easy mushroom and parsley salad

Mix in a bowl:
1 lb white mushrooms thinly sliced
1/3 cup chopped parsley

Top with shaved parmesan and dressing:
lemon, olive oil, salt, pepper to taste

Unique, healthy, savory.

hint: have toothpicks handy for that pesky parsley!

recipe: easy champagne cocktails

Pour into a fluted glass:
1/2 jigger of St. Germain liquer
top with Champagne

Festive, sparkling, giddy.
